What has Reliable been up to?

Mike Lambert, CEO

Did you know that as of 16 February 2011, there were over 156 million public blogs in existence?  I guess I’m adding one to that number today, and I’ve got to tell you that I am more nervous about this than when I decided to go into business for myself over 20 years ago!  Maybe it’s an age thing (58) and the fact that I have always found it hard to write.

I have many opinions on things, and love to verbally debate, but have me write it down, and my brain freezes like the blue screen of death you get when your computer hard drive dies.  “Think Man Think!”…  Then when I finally get something down, I go into proofread mode – does the I go before the E except in Keith? – Do I have the commas in the right places?  If I‘ve learned anything from my kids who are all grown: “It is better to have written imperfectly, than to not haven’t written at all”!

Why am I telling you all this? Communication!  Since you are reading this you have discovered our blog.  We are also on Linked In, and Twitter he we come!  We have renovated our web site( www.ReliableNH.com) per our customers suggestions, making it simpler to navigate , update, and hopefully contain content that’s relevant and useful to you!  You will be receiving e-newsletters on a regular basis.  Your dedicated customer service rep will be connecting with you via all these wonderful new platforms, as well as by the good old telephone & snail mail, with innovative products, services, and ideas that will help make your office more green and help you reduce your print volume by 50% in the next five years.

For now, please take a moment to peruse our website – there is a lot to learn about Reliable!   Also, check out our face book, Linked In, and twitter accounts. Our goal is to get 100 followers and ‘likes’ on each page by April 30th. We will deliver a special spring treat to every company that helps us get there!  My Name is Mike Lambert, and I am the CEO.  Have a great “Less Paper” Day!

PS: Please feel free to point out my grammatical errors. In fact I encourage you to do so! Thanks!

Welcome from Pam in Customer Service

Welcome to our blog!

My name is Pam Morin.  I’ve been with Reliable Technologies since April of 2007.  Through I have less experience with the print industry than most of my colleagues I make up for it with enthusiasm!  My main function is customer service, but I am also responsible for web site upkeep, marketing, sales assisting and Reliable’s social media presence.   (I never could have guessed that my Facebook habit would turn into a job function?)  I’ve been known to fix a printer or two here in the office, dabble in html, and make process and training manuals (can you say Type A?).

Thank you for visiting our blog!  Reliable Technologies is excited to be one of the first in the industry to take on social media and blogging (well, most of us are excited, some still have their reservations…).  We have enjoyed learning lots from other local businesses and our corporate partners SM efforts!  This blog is taking the place of our monthly newsletter that we produced last year, so please subscribe and check in once in a while.  As always, we love feedback.  If there are any topics you would like to see us post about we are currently taking requests!

Please take a look around our new web site and tell us what you think.  It is designed to help our customers quickly access the tools they need.  As business needs have changed in the past decade we have too – we are way more than just re-manufactured toner and printer service.  Check out some of our newest services, such as security risk mitigation and global content management.

With this blog we are going to share money saving tips, ways to get closer to a paperless office, industry news, current events, product reviews, random thoughts of inspiration, customer stories and personal thoughts from our team.  All of us will post a blog, so be sure to come back and see who’s up-at-bat.
